If you are staying in New York for the weekend, here are some of our favorite spots to visit in our neighborhood and beyond to consider checking out!
Every Saturday, hosted in Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Park puts on a fabulous farmers market. We walk to this market pretty much every Saturday we’re in town and its a huge part of our daily routine. We even visited it before Jack decided to pop the question in the park! Consider walking the loop in the park after, its a great way to get to know the area and scope out the Picnic House before the ceremony!
Adjacent to Prospect Park, the gardens are a great place to walk around and enjoy so many beautiful blooms. If you go, make sure you check out the Bonsai Museum and the Orchid room, they're two favorites!
Radio Bakery (there’s one in our old neighborhood too!)
La Bicyclette Bakery (there’s one in our old neighborhood too!)
If you have extra time and feel like an adventure, check out some of our favorite spots in our old neighborhood, which we used to frequent.
Known to be some of the best pizza in NYC go get yourself a slice (or a whole pie) and enjoy NYC pizza culture at its finest. Our favorites are the Fig & Bacon and Burrata slice. Oh, and get the soft serve– you won’t regret it.
A fabulous martini bar with a great selection and a cozy cool vibe. If you like them dirty get the house martini! They also have a fabulous seafood tower and some great dips. Drink responsibly!
